Vogel started his own company, Stay-At-Home Lessons, in 2002. He is a private music instructor and teaches on three instruments: piano, guitar and drums. His method of teaching is laid-back and kinesthetic; he embraces the various ways people learn material and nurtures all methods of learning: from Suzuki-style ear training to Alfred-based notation training. He gives recitals three times a year and works with students of all ages: his youngest is 5 and his oldest is 53.
Vogel has taught over 100 clients over his 9-year tenure; some of his students have gone on to pursue music careers of their own while others enjoy it as a means of relaxation. But his goal is simple: to make music fun for everyone.
